1. What KeralaAuto is

KeralaAuto is a free public directory that lists auto-rickshaw drivers in Kerala alongside their phone numbers, stand location, and vehicle plate. Passengers can search by location and call drivers directly. KeralaAuto is not a transportation provider, ride-booking app, or fare-setting platform. We do not employ drivers, dispatch rides, set prices, process payments, or guarantee the availability or behaviour of any listed driver.

2. The ride is between you and the driver

When a passenger calls a driver listed on KeralaAuto, any agreement that follows — the route, the fare (whether meter-based or negotiated), the timing, the conduct of the ride — is a direct private agreement between the passenger and the driver. KeralaAuto is not a party to that agreement and has no responsibility for:

• The fare charged or how it is calculated
• Whether the driver arrives on time, or at all
• The condition of the vehicle
• The conduct of the driver or the passenger
• Loss, damage, or injury arising from the ride
• Any dispute between the driver and the passenger

We strongly recommend passengers verify the driver's identity (face, plate number) in person before getting in, and agree on the fare clearly before the ride starts.

3. Driver registration

• You must be a licensed auto-rickshaw operator in Kerala with a valid permit, registration certificate, and driving licence as required by Indian law.
• The information you submit (name, phone, vehicle number, photo, stand) must be accurate and current.
• You may only register vehicles you actually drive. Registering a vehicle you don't own or operate is a breach of these terms.
• Each vehicle may have only one active listing.
• You authorise KeralaAuto to display your name, phone, vehicle number, profile photo, stand, and experience publicly on the website.

4. Verification badge

The verified badge (blue tick) means our admin team has reviewed the verification photo you uploaded and confirmed the visible number plate matches the vehicle number you registered. It is not a background check, license check, character certificate, or insurance verification. Passengers should not treat the badge as a guarantee of safety or fitness — it is only proof that the auto's plate matches the listing.

We reserve the right to revoke the verification badge at any time, with or without notice, if we suspect the information is incorrect or the listing breaches these terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Register fake driver profiles, use someone else's identity, or upload photos of vehicles you don't drive
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or threaten drivers or passengers
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download driver information for commercial reuse
• Attempt to bypass our verification, RLS policies, or any technical safeguard
• Interfere with the service's availability for other users

We may suspend or remove any listing or visitor that breaches these rules, at our sole discretion.

6. Fees

KeralaAuto is currently free for everyone. Drivers do not pay to be listed. Passengers do not pay to search. We do not take a commission from any ride. If this ever changes, existing users will be notified well in advance.

7. Intellectual property

The KeralaAuto name, logo, design, code, and original content are owned by the KeralaAuto team. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit them without permission. Driver-submitted content (name, photo) remains the driver's, but by submitting it you grant KeralaAuto a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform for the purpose of running the directory.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always accurate. Driver listings may be out of date, drivers may not answer their phones, and search results may not always include every available driver.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, KeralaAuto and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the service or from any ride arranged via the service. Our total liability to any user is limited to ₹100.

10. Removing your listing

Drivers may remove their listing at any time by:

• Using the Edit Profile page to remove or update their data, or
• WhatsApp-ing us at +91 80867 31057 with a deletion request

We will delete the listing within 7 days of verifying the request.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the homepage at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or from use of the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
